Reginans Raise Over $57,000 for Mental Health Support at Pats Talk Today Game Night

January 31, 2023

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Canadian Mental Health Association has been given a more than $57,000 show of support by Reginans as the result of this year’s Regina Pats Talk Today Game Night. Starting with a $50,000 contribution from event partner the Brandt Group of Companies, local hockey fans dug deep into their wallets to build up a tremendous $115,210 50/50 jackpot at Sunday’s game, with half of the pot going to CMHA Regina and the other half being won by a lucky Regina Pats fan. Additional funds were raised throughout the game with the raffle of an official Regina Pats jersey signed by the team and through direct donations to the CMHA.

“We look forward to bringing unique elements to our game night every year,” said Matt Semple, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Brandt. “But this year was extra special for us because of the partnership with CMHA. We were thrilled to see a packed house cheering on the Pats and raising awareness and funds for such an important cause!”

Talk Today has become one of the most comprehensive mental health programs for amateur sports in Canada. Its aim is to promote the mental health of young athletes and to spread awareness about the benefits of positive mental health throughout communities across the country. Brandt is proud to partner with the Pats and the CMHA for this year’s event and is delighted see such a successful fundraiser for a very worthwhile cause.

“The Regina Pats are very proud of our relationship with the CMHA and support the important work they are doing with our team, the city of Regina and across the country,” said Pats CEO Gord Pritchard. “We are happy to play a part in helping destigmatize issues related to mental health, and we were proud to have another opportunity to collaborate at this game.”
